We had a good day:
We had a chat with someone about https://www.belpercommunityenergy.org.uk/ where they are doing quite a few feasibility studies around Belper to find places to put wind, solar and water power.
We had some nice food for lunch, and I had a very nice #cider from "Three Cats Cider, Morley" (they don't seem to have a web site).
We listened to a couple of talks too.
Once was from the Trent Rivers Trust (https://www.trentriverstrust.org/) talking about changes that could be made on the Derwent and Trent rivers to get them in a better condition.
Later on we listened to a talk by someone from the Ethical Consumer Magazine about #degrowth, followed by a discussion in small groups.
The speaker recommended https://explore.degrowth.network/ to find out more. She also mentioned the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (https://weall.org/) and a book called Radical Abundance. I assume it's this one: https://guardianbookshop.com/radical-abundance-9780745351353/ but there are several called that, but I assume it's not about "nanotechnology" (which is another book of the same name!).
We took a couple of #rabbits with us for the day out, and they seem to approve of Belper grass, as we saw both of them nibbling on it when we sat down for lunch 😀
We also met some friends who we'd not seen for a long time, which was nice!
The weather kept dry too, which was a bonus!
I also bought a couple of #vegan pies to eat next week :)
