The feds are trying to open the land around Chaco canyon to mineral extraction... again. Not only is this land sacred to native peoples all across the southwest, it also is home to a huge number of culturally sensitive sites. Very important. New but short comment period regarding revocation of 10 mile “withdrawal” around a beautiful #NewMexico location, #ChacoCanyon. the site is sacred to multiple tribes and is geologically significant for all. Anybody may comment. Go to the BLM Register and say you oppose revocation of the 10 mile withdrawal around Chaco Canyon. Start at the “Participate” button, top left of page. See screenshot 👇
