Sul circuito di Chang, il pilota italiano ha preceduto al traguardo gli spagnoli Pedro Acosta (Ktm), al secondo posto, e Raul Fernandez (Aprilia Trackhouse), al terzo. Oltre al dominio di Bezzecchi sin dalla partenza, tutte le Aprilia si piazzano in top five. Jorge Martin e Ai Ogura, infatti, chiudono rispettivamente quarto e quinto. Nell'ordine, completano la top ten Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Pertamina), Brad Binder (Ktm), Franco Morbidelli (Ducati Pertamina), Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo) e Luca Marini (Honda). Nel corso del ventunesimo giro, invece, Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo) è stato costretto al ritiro dopo aver bucato la gomma posteriore.
