Today, July 13, was Mary Burlie Day, a day to honour a woman who gave so much of herself to people in the inner city. This morning, I got a preview of the renewal of Mary Burlie Park on 97th Street, along with family members, local MLAs, people involved in the park's construction and landscaping, and people with local organizations. In the afternoon, the annual celebration in Kinistinâw Park included sports, performances, haircuts, face-painting, and more.
