@MelissaBearTrix@gives.hugz.online @msdropbear42@farcebook.space hi Mel you might notice this reply is coming from my #blahajzone account not my #farcebookspace one, coz... the treacle has returned! 😥😭 after a good day [most surprising given you said you'd not actually contacted them], from about our 1700 their 0900, it has turned to shit again... everything takes many many many minutes to respond, eg, page loads, post reactions, post-sending... everything. ie, once again it is just unusable. this is really dismaying. you're paying them for a service they are not fully providing you, afaict. imo it seems simply wrong that the friendica instance you are paying them to host, is so vulnerable to some persistent recurring server or networking problem of theirs. i now don't know what to do. i really did want to stay here in my farcebook account again [same as all previous times btw], but it's just no fun having it so frequently bugger up, alas 🥺 #fedihopping

one of the many nice features of #sharkey is its #clips function. i was slow to understand the use of this, but once it eventually clicked i began using it lots & lots. however imo the sharkey GUI has a glaring weakness wrt clips. once the user has added a post to a clip, the GUI gives absolutely no visual indication that the post is added. that is, to look at that post within its timeline, the little paperclip icon denoting clips, has not changed in any way visible to me. i'd have thought that an exceedingly obvious design choice here should have been to either bold this icon, change its colour, or add a badge to it... something that would instantly let the user know that post has been "clipped". tldr = a good design idea badly implemented #blahajzone

hi @ada@blahaj.zone @blahaj@blahaj.zone is the server having any problems atm pls? around 10pm'ish last night, the site went down for me & stayed down til i went to bed. it's up again this morning, except none of my Lists work anymore [won't load, produce the dead face icon]. i have cleared cache several times, also tried a different browser. hoping you have your magic wand handy pls? PS: oh yeah, also, it feels very sluggish now, much latency before responding to standard navigation & interactions #blahajzone

my instance has no explicitly ​:vegan:​ emoji, which made me 😥 but tonight serendipity lead me to discover we do have this, 🌱, which someone on another instance uses to denote their #veganism, so i thought this was 🎉 then i panicked & worried if a "seedling" emoji might lead peeps to assume i'm a gardener, which for worse or worserer i most certainly ain't! so, question: if "you" see 🌱, of what does it make you think / assume? #blahajzone #vegan cc: @ada@blahaj.zone @blahaj@blahaj.zone

sorry about this recent flurry of queries, iirc there's only one more up my sleeve after this, after which i hope not to disturb you again for a while. actually sod it, i'll ask all here in this one thread, then be done.

  1. my #sharkey #Lists & #Antennae [see the pics] seem to appear in random sequence, which though super trivial i know, i nonetheless am finding quite annoying. is there some auto-sorting option available i've so far overlooked? is there otherwise any way i can manually reorder them? ta.

  2. since recently returning to blahajzone from friendica, i'm now trying to finally iron out some of the matters in the sharkey GUI i've historically not understood. another of these is... i have enabled the option to keep a backup of my UI settings / arrangement, but atm i feel i need to play around more with various column & widget combos, both in the default & deck modes, to find something that fits me like a glove. however, i'd like to manually save each "iteration" for easy future return if needed, rather than have to manually repeat my settings tweaks each time. is there such an option pls, for me to save multiple versions, then later do on the fly reversions to one or other via just a click from a list? afaict the auto-backup only saves whatever is my current suite of settings, ie losing my historical versions.

  3. in the deck view, iirc, i can have multiple "windowlets" open at once, but in the default view the ... default ... seems to be not windowlets but complete pages, which then jumps me from whatever i was currently looking at, losing my place [the Back button iirc takes me back to that prior view, but only to the top of the timeline, thus losing my place]. opening items as windowlets seems available from the context menu, but can i make that my actual default action?

hi to other sharkey users. pls can anyone guide me here? how can i... efficiently... find / display all the accounts i Follow, which atm i have not assigned to one or more of my Lists? 🤔🤷 in #Friendica, for instance, the GUI specifically supports this, but so far now that i've again returned to my blahajzone account, i've not solved this. the only way i can think, is super-duper-NOT-efficient; go to the page showing all my Follows, then one by one open their popup window & inspect their List setting, to see if i've already allotted them or not. that would be ok for half a dozen Follows, but is frankly a pretty lousy proposition for hundreds. ta 🤞🤞🤞 cc: @ada@blahaj.zone @blahaj@blahaj.zone @supakaity@blahaj.zone #AskSharkey #Sharkey #blahajzone #Lists
