Between Saturday 20th and Friday 26th June'26 - during a record-busting heatwave - the #C3 #CS3 cycleway counter on London's Victoria Embankment recorded:

• 12k journeys over Saturday and Sunday
• Mon 22nd: 12,408
• Tues 23rd: 15,526
• Weds 24th: 13,520+
• Thurs 25th: 11k+
• Fri 26th: 7500 by tea-time, over 71k since previous Friday evening, and up to 673k over the two months since reboot.

The rebooted #C3 #CS3 totem is reportedly "glitchy' with frequent stalls a resets when it struggles with large numbers of folk passing on their bikes.

Thanks to folk on Bluesky, we've a few days of journey data for London's cycleway #C3 #CS3 on Victoria Embankment:

Tuesday 28 April: 11,952 journeys recorded; Wednesday 29 April: 12,782 journeys

(Video posted on Bluesky indicates that refurbished and rebooted totems may not be recording 1/4 to 1/3rd of folk cycling past in busy peak periods).

Wednesday 10pm scores from @lastnotlost@mastodon.online before another c240 folk cycled past.

23/04/2026: News from several folk on the Bluesky platform, including @westcountrytim@mastodonapp.uk, that the cycle journey counters on the London's cycleways C3 Victoria Embankment and C6 Blackfriars Road were restarted this week. The counters have been offline for many months, but have now been upgraded with new displays which show today's and year-to-date (or restart to date) totals together. #CS3Count #CS6Count #TfL #LondonCycling #BikeTooter #BikeTootUK
