Secondo le agenzie di stampa italiane, il celebre attore statunitense, invitato al Lido nei giorni scorsi per ritirare un prestigioso Leone d’Oro alla carriera, ha rifiutato l’ospitalità offerta dalla Mostra del cinema di Venezia. Insomma, le spese della trasferta con la moglie Amal sono già tutte sulla sua carta di credito.
Si tratta di cinque notti all’hotel Belmond Cipriani di Venezia, struttura che si trova sull’isola della Giudecca, che non è convenzionata con la Biennale. Per l’accoglienza degli ospiti alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia sono stati stanziati 2,1 milioni di euro, “di cui 65mila euro per i protagonisti delle premiazioni”. Tra questi anche Clooney ed Ellen Burstyn, leoni d’oro alla carriera, ai quali era stato offerto un volo in prima classe e l’ospitalità per 5 notti in hotel a 4 o 5 stelle, con pasti inclusi nei locali indicati.
