After spectating another half-marathon this morning (exhausting!) let’s start #stouturday with #bil @firestonewalker Stephen Barleywine Ale 2026 Deep caramel with a sweet raisiny body and oak background. Let it warm! A true champion in its class #barleywine #craftBeer

Heckin’ Hot 🥵 at 91F, thank goodness for the breeze and the shade. Inside the house at 74F it feels downright cold… So a bit of patio time, a bit of #surlyBrewing Twenty #barleywine Two days open, still too hoppy for my tastes but lighter than a big #stout #craftBeer #heat #mnWX

Två feta grisar Double Piglet Barley wine. Fylligt med tydlig sötma, drag av honung och torkad frukt. Tyvärr lite för mycket beska för min smak. Burk två får vila ett år eller två. #öltut #barleywine

Finally popped the #surlybrewing Twenty #barleywine Oaky, bitter, big hoppy. Way too many hops, not enough of the expected caramel and other flavors. Not your father’s barleywine, not a favorite. Leaving bottle two to age until next year… #bil #craftBeer

4pm on the Thursday that’s actually Friday (day off tomorrow) - wife says let’s stop at #leftBridgeBrewing How could I say No? 2019 Commander Barleywine on tap! Rich and malty, caramel and cardamom spices (glad they told me what that one is, would not have guessed). A warming boozy finish. #craftBeer #bil #barleywine
