Il Tempo: Ambiente, Baffigo (Piùblu): "A Roma tre giorni di sport e attività per tutela sostenibilità"
Roma, 17 set. - (Adnkronos) - “Il weekend è nato quattro anni fa a Roma e la seconda edizione ha visto tre città coinvolte, poi sette e adesso siamo in tutta Italia presso i circoli di canottaggio, canoa e kayak. Gli atleti sono invitati durante la Giornata Mondiale dei Fiumi a pulirli perché è fondamentale fare lo sport in un ambiente sano, in un ambiente pulito”. Così la vice presidente di Piùblu, Domitilla Baffigo, alla conferenza stampa di lancio dell'evento ‘We Can Blu It' che si terrà a Roma il 25, il 26 e il 27 settembre sul Tevere.
“Perché gli atleti? Perché grazie alla loro tenacia, noi vogliamo portare avanti il nostro progetto, il nostro sogno, quello di insegnare l'educazione all'ambiente, perché è fondamentale”, ha proseguito. Poi si è soffermata sulla prima Tiber Skiff che si terrà nel corso della We can Blu It. “Siamo molto orgogliosi di lanciarla. Questa è ispirata alla Silver Schiff di Torino. Noi l'abbiamo accolta e abbiamo organizzato questa tre giorni incredibile. Sabato 26 settembre a Roma ci sarà la prima gara internazionale di canottaggio che coinvolgerà atleti da tutto quanto il mondo”.
“La partenza sarà a Ponte della Musica e l'arrivo sarà a Castel Sant'Angelo. Siamo molto orgogliosi perché per la prima volta ci potrà essere una competizione in singolo sul Tevere. I cittadini, così come i turisti, potranno scendere e ammirare veramente questo fiume meraviglioso”, ha continuato per poi concludere che “la tre giorni prevederà anche tantissime diverse attività nel nostro villaggio della sostenibilità, in cui abbiamo invitato tutti quanti le associazioni che si occupano di ambiente. Fra di noi ci deve essere un legame fortissimo perché soltanto insieme possiamo far qualcosa di diverso.”.

Rome, September 17 – (Adnkronos) - “The weekend was born four years ago in Rome and the second edition saw three cities involved, then seven and now we are all over Italy at rowing, canoe, and kayak clubs. Athletes are invited during World Rivers Day to clean them because it is fundamental to practice sport in a healthy environment, in a clean environment.” This was said by Piùblu’s Vice President, Domitilla Baffigo, at the press conference for the launch of the ‘We Can Blu It’ event which will take place in Rome on September 25th, 26th and 27th along the Tiber.
“Why athletes? Because thanks to their tenacity, we want to carry forward our project, our dream, that of teaching environmental education, because it is fundamental,” she continued. She then focused on the first Tiber Skiff which will be held during We Can Blu It. “We are very proud to launch it. This is inspired by the Silver Schiff in Turin. We have embraced it and organized this incredible three-day event. On Saturday, September 26th in Rome there will be the first international rowing race that will involve athletes from all over the world.”
“The start will be at Ponte della Musica and the arrival will be at Castel Sant’Angelo. We are very proud because for the first time there can be a competition in singles on the Tiber. Citizens, as well as tourists, will be able to get down and truly admire this wonderful river,” she continued before concluding that “the three days will also include many different activities in our sustainability village, where we have invited all associations involved in environmental protection. There must be a very strong link between us because only together can we do something different.”
