I am a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, lived and worked in Dublin for about 20 years returning to Tipperary to work in small family construction and engineering company in which I am now a director. I was confirmed as Autistic at 45. I enjoy meeting new people, most sports, playing golf, cooking and reading, initially psychology, and following my confirmation, about autism and neurodivergence. I also enjoy classic novels such as Dostoyevskys novels and plan on reading more of the classical novels

They fuck you up, your mom and dad. They may not mean to but they do, They fill you with the faults they had, and add some extra just for you.
I think the above is so accurate but also that becoming stuck in blame isn't the answer. For me acknowledgement, grieving, acceptance and understanding that we are imperfect human beings who make mistakes and are affected by our own experiences and histories helped to move forward
