I received this notice from Amazon today about my Amazon Affiliates account:
We are reaching out to inform you about your Amazon Associates account's closure.
...Because you are non compliant, Amazon will not pay you any outstanding commission income. Please be aware that any other related accounts may be closed without payment of any commission income. Amazon reserves all other rights and claims.
If you had configured this store ID to earn globally, we have closed your store ID in all those countries as well.
The violation(s) include the following:
- Your website/app/social media account does not qualify for inclusion in our program because the content promotes graphic sexual images and/or sexually graphic banner advertisements. Content of such nature constitutes disqualification as it is in violation of our Program Policies.

If you follow me or check out my feed, the "graphic sexual images" I post are A) the covers of audiobooks for sale on Amazon, and B) vintage 1950s pin-up art. What a bad girl am I.
Anyway, the email includes a link to a form to appeal the decision. I filled it out -- twice. Both times, the form returned a page of error messages; the message does not seem to have gone through and there are no alternate contact methods.
If you are a romance or erotica author or narrator, be forewarned.
Support the small indie creators you care about friends. We are in such tough spots.
