@augieray@mastodon.social #alt4u A new york post newspaper cover. Full page showing a woman outdoors leaning over an angled, waist high black marble memorial to read a name written on it. In the bottom left is an image of two darker complexion people smiling with teeth and some text under each of them that looks like some kind of quick intro about them for this story. The headline reads "Thousands of 9/11 families demand that Mamdani be banned from 25th anniversary ceremony" And then in huge letters that take half the page height it reads "STAY AWAY" directly over the smiling men

RE: https://mastodon.scot/@anexiledscot/116099520695852492 Elizabeth Jacobs, PhD on Bluesky (a kind of Twitter / wannabee big-tech): "A new paper shows that less than 2 months of exposure to Twitter's algorithmic feed significantly shifts people's political views to the right. Moving from chronological feed to the algorithmic feed also increases engagement. This is one of the most concerning papers I've read in awhile." This is worrying. I always suspected that exposure to X's algorithmic feed shifted people's views to the right, well, it's been confirmed by this research. This is why the Right invest so much in X, it's a tool to move whole demographics to the right.
