my 3d printer's thermistor had this issue for so long now where it would sometimes readout wrong values way out of the defined safe values, making the printer shutdown mid print
there are two connectors inline with the thermistor wire
one near the mainboard, which i added to extend the cable
and one it came with near the toolhead
turns out the connector i added years ago was badly crimped
i replaced it and it started working again
seemingly
but then the same problem showed up again, but less frequently
turns out the connector that it came with developed the same problem
so i replaced it
problem fixed
for about 20 hours of print time
then it happened again
i soldered the wires together now
if it starts happening again i'm gonna crash out (replace the entire cable)
unless stated otherwise.
