Probablement que la plupart des ville d’une région/province/pays utilisent des équipements standardisés. Ça permet de se donner une idée des infrastructures de manière générale, et de savoir qui les fabriquent, pour ensuite les cibler afin de connaître leurs failles.

@bedast@beige.party the worry I do have regarding this feature is it’s will provide an excuse to some (and that will grow over time) to stop investimg into producing quality captioning. Why spending money/ressources when there is an IA who will generate some [crappy, or just basic one, if not errornous] captions, automatically. I beleive on the long run, thats will be an innevitable drop on the quality, in exchange of availability. Damn if you do, damn if you don’t, as they say.

@paul_denton@mastodon.social hypothèse non-informée: probablement que c’est beaucoup plus facile pour une petite municipalité/organisation de faire un tel changement. C’est facile à faire quand il n’y a pas de logiciels (et non pas appli web) ou de système spécialisé demandant Windows. Même chose au niveau des employés et de la formation/prise en main du nouvel environnement. Plus la municipalité/organisme est grand, plus le risque de frapper un logiciel/système particulier augmentent.

Let me put it this way: if the odor in the hallways makes you not inviting guests because it’s not inviting, it’s basically making you wanting to sell, probably for less of the actual market value because other buyers will probably see that as element who removes the value.

Personally, if the hallway smells bad, especially cigarette smoke, I will be reluctant to invite anyone, especially if that person had Asthma. But for an potential buyer, if the hallways smells bad, for whatever the reason, it’s bad. It’s not inviting, it’s doesn’t make a good impression and doesn’t look like it’s an healthy place to live. That should be reflected in the price. Thats a nuisance. Because it’s affects the hallways (common area), that goes to the responsibility of the condo board. Either it’s a sign of bad ventilation (you don’t want to breath the neighbours cigarettes), either it’s a neighbour who doesn’t care at all of their neighbours. (Any air exchangers?)
