@wolfr@mastodon.social Billtobox is slecht, maar ik heb de andere apps gezien, het is daar niet veel beter. De fundamentele flaw is dat het hele ding een cloud based systeem nodig heeft om in praktijk enigszins te werken. Alles wat niet files based is, is voor facturatie per definitie een probleem vind ik. Maar goed, het is nu zo, de enshittification gaat ook hier gewoon verder 😃

@ristkof@mastodon.social happy for you maar hier lukt dat niet. Geen enkele buitenlandse leverancier die in peppol facturen gaat publiceren. En ik heb er een tweede inbox bij die niet mail based is die ik moet scannen op betaald/niet betaald.
Voordien had ik hier 30 minuten admin werk per kwartaal. Alles was files based. Eenvoud. Nu komt er weer een xkcd achtige “standard to replace all standards” 😵

@stroobl@mastodon-belgium.be ik heb daar geen winst, in tegendeel: nog een inbox om te verwerken, een groot deel van mijn leveranciers zijn niet Belgisch en een groot deel van mijn kosten lopen niet via peppol.
Voordien was dat simpel: betalen, scannen, de rest ging automatisch naar de boekhouder via mail rules.
Nu komt daar dus nog een extra inbox bij. Zonder dat die anderen ooit 100% verdwijnen. Het is het type systeem dat, als het niet 100% werkt, gewoon extra werk veroorzaakt :)

Het enige wat Peppol tot nu toe in realiteit veranderd heeft is dat ik elke maand nog meer administratie te doen heb.
Ik word niet sneller betaald, mijn facturen zijn niet makkelijker op te maken en mijn boekhouder maakt niet minder fouten dan voordien (hij was al foutloos) en is evenmin goedkoper geworden. In de plaats krijg ik nòg een kanaal erbij dat ik nauwkeurig moet nakijken op fouten, en extra kosten.
Het een verdoken subsidie voor softwareleveranciers noemen is een brug te ver zeker?

That said, the current implementation does not solve anything. Cookies are not the issue. Reselling data or using it for purposes other than the intended use (e.g. modelling user behaviour but then reselling it to meta so they can profile better to sell ads of which they don't share the revenue with you) is the real problem.

@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net on top of that there really are legitimate benign reasons to track user behaviour and make improvements to websites and applications, that do require some form of cookies or persistent storage on the user’s device.
It’s too easy to wave the data brokers and tracking flag, because the cynical truth is that you don’t even need cookies to do that part.

It’s the implementation that’s the mess. Leaving this to millions of websites was a bad idea. It should have always been a browser preference. One exists and could have been adapted.
