My question is really about why people are talking about DHH "showing his ass", which I personally think is meaningless and inconsequential but to each their own, instead of talking about the maintainers of rubygems and bundler losing control of their projects and their contributions to the community, which I consider to be a major event, and shaking the foundations of the ruby community. It seems to me that losing rubygems is a big deal.

@hejsna@ruby.social I'm not sure why you are asking him to self-censor. he's posting on his blog? Isn't that part of free expression? I don't see why we all need to have an opinion about... his dumb opinions. Also, I don't understand why people are talking about this rather than the ruby central/ruby gems debacle. Is there some reason why it's automatically a vague conspiracy theory based on no evidence that someone's whose political options we don't like is behind this community destroying event?
