@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social The issue with that standard is that if I grant acces for example to CameraApp and open anorher App that can also access the camera it can use it in the same time and even up to 1minute after I close CameraApp even if I will not grant an access. My sugestiom was to make access that is granted only for one app and revoke it after closing the app. Right now any app that can access camera will 'benefit' of enabling camera by another app.

1. You have this feature on in settings.
2. You blocked/disabled by a toggle in quick settings Mic/Camera/Location (at least one)
3. Open App that need access to one of those for example mic.
4. Popup to grant access appears (just like it is implemented now)
5. You're granting access for Mic but it is only temporary until the app is running and only for this App. Other app need separate permision (popup)
6. You are closing App and the access is revoked.

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social How about one more cool feature? Right now if User block mic, camera or disable location (by the toggle in quick settings) and the App ask about access for one of those it will reamain available/enabled after the APP closes. It will be great if it will return to the state before and the access was granted only for this specific App temporary. How can it work? I will explain in next post.

In Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was something like "liberum veto". It was a destructive construct, where one person could end any legislation screaming "Sisto activitatem!" or "Liberum veto!" or "I don't allow". There is no democration and even no consistency when sometimes the majority is needed to pass something and sometimes is enough to have minority to pass legislation.

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social Yes! GrapheneOS is great! The Team behind it too... But it is good to mention, that it is AOSP based... And AOSP code is not just 15 people work. Simmilar to OxygenOS or NothingOS. It is more like distribution than the separate OS. Realy good, polished and hardened distribution of Android. GrapheneOS, OnePlus or Nothing are still havy based on AOSP and the changes/patches that are for all Android OS'es and that are not a result of only 15 people work. P. S. I apriciate your work!

@zazen@ieji.de @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social As in the changelog Pixel 9a and 8a are using same BCM4383 chip. The drivers update between 20260507 and 20260509 made it still in alpha when other devices (which didn't need driver update) go to Beta / Stable. After testing new drivers for 8a and 9a the Beta and Stable will be updated. If the issue is critical on Alpha stage it is not going to Beta or to Stable. Same in Beta. If there will be a critical issue in Beta than the Stable will be not updated to that build.

@volla Why are you trying to make a centralized service instead using on device attestation? Is there any reason for that?

@metr0pl3x@grapheneos.social I know that Samsung phones are not an option. But they are also a massive LCD/OLED manufacter. In this case Motorola can use Samsung screen in future GrapheneOS phone. Even Apple used and is still using LG/Samsung as a screen manufacters.

@mullvadnet They are so close to total control. They already have govs, banks, bigtech, media and They want absolutne power. They can cancel your choice (like elections) They can do terrible things like on the E-Island and They can even kill other nations without consequences. There are not enough people who can notice that. And there are even less ones, who want to react.

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social The issue is from at least Android 15 as I remember. Not sure IF this is regression. If I try to use anything above 24bit 48kHz than there is an issue. Tried few DAC. What is interesting the DAC based on USB 2.0 natively (dragonfly red) World without issues. Any other USB type C to 3.5" DAC I have issue... Tried few based on CX31993 and ES9318 (thought that maybe the issue don't affect ESS chips) and few "generic" ones but the only one working is Dragonfly Red - quite bulky solution.

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social Will the issue with external DAC (USB type c) with high-res stream (24bit 96kHz and above) will be fixed in next releases? The glitches when the screen is locked are annoying.
