TIL about pex, an interesting-looking tool for transplanting python virtualenvs across machines. Seems like a great alternative for some bespoke use cases that I have at $DAY_JOB (and maybe you do too, if you're reading this). The lightning talk from Twitter in 2014 makes me sorta sad and nostalgic, but it looks like project is still going strong:

No JavaScript build system, no frameworks, no business model, no gamification, no courses. The only that's simpler is a stick of incense and a book of matches.

Wrote a bit more about my adventures in getting off Spotify. Spoiler: I got sick of not having a streaming service, so I created my own out of my venerable old Mozilla-issued Thinkpad w520. Jellyfin is pretty great!
