libinput 1.28.0 is out, hot off the ... hotmaking things?

One new feature: three-finger drag for touchpads - that required a surprising amount of work though so please adjust your appreciation accordingly as you try it.

When enabled: three fingers down will trigger a mouse button click, moving the fingers will drag things around. Easier than tap-and-drag for many users.

@mcepl@floss.social follow up: looks like e.g. kcm_wacomtablet writes to .config/tabletprofilesrc so a ksetwacom equivalent would simply write to that file

@mcepl@floss.social I don't know off-hand how kde handles its storage settings but there's no reason one couldn't do a ksetwacom that does exactly the same but for KDE. input-remapper is a completely different beast, that'd be a bicycle vs wheelbarrow comparison, they are just too different even though some parts are very similar.

New tablet features to adjust the pressure range and a new API to handle relative wheels/dials that are getting more common.

Clickfinger button mapping is now configurable too.

And I understand the business case - the device and their driver has enough information so why care more? Still grumpy about it though 😃 On the plus side, at least the Inspiroy 2 has separate pids for the S/M/L version so maybe the future is going to be a bit less hackish.
