I don't get why they need 2 senior executives and developers that charge 12,500 USD per month. It's strange to say the least.

I’ve been using Bazzite and Aurora for 2 years now, they are downstream of Silverblue. They have been rock solid, stable, and damn easy to use. I do gaming, vibe coding, office work and graphic design. I haven’t been forced to read any bible or wiki to do anything, they never broke, everything just works. I freaking love my PCs. If you feel tempted to block yourself from braking your distro, I highly recommend them.

2 years ago when I started my switch I tried ~10 distros and then did a prolonged test of about 2 months for each of the 2 distros that were the closest to being perfect out of the box and settled on Bazzite. I wish you a happy journey and if you don’t like one flavor don’t ditch Pizza, there are many more flavors to try and one of them surely will become your favorite.

Arch is not a distro for beginners. One day you’ll wreck it. If you just want it to work, I would advise you try these and stick with the one you like the most: Mint (Cinnamon) Zorin (Gnome) Fedora Workstation Fedora KDE Plasma Ubuntu Desktop (Gnome) Kubuntu (KDE) Aurora (Gnome) Bluefin (KDE) Bazzite (KDE & Gnome) All my family’s PCs run linux. We use Bazzite for gaming and Aurora for work. Easier and more reliable than Windows.

Because of everything. I can chose however I want it to be and behave. It won’t nag me, it won’t show me ads, my hardware will receive support for ages, it consumes less resources, it’s more responsive, I don’t need to update any drivers, it uses less disk space, installing apps is easier, changing settings is easier, backups are easier, zero maintenance , it’s reliable, it’s free and open source and it uses the same Kernel that the world runs and relies on. I use Bazzite, and it’s honestly the best computing experience I’ve ever had. I’m 40, since I was less than 8 years old until now I’ve used: DOS Windows 3.11, 95, Me, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 MacOS 8.1, 9, OSX 10 - 10.11 Linux: Mandrake Mandriva Ubuntu POP OS Elementary Manjaro Endeavour Debían Zorin Mint Fedora Aurora Bazzite Vanilla That said the only thing I dislike is that my kids can’t play EA’s FC26 or Epic’s Fortnite because those companies chose to actively not support Linux on purpose. Those games are predatory gambling casinos disguised as games, but still… I wish I could have the choice to play or not play them. But that’s a small price to pay for everything I get in return. I’ve been running Bazzite for 2 years now. I’m very happy with it and I feel joy using it every single day, I’m in love.

[Call for Applicants] Flatseal at Igalia’s Coding Experience 2026

Six years ago I released Flatseal. Since then, it has become an essential tool in the Flatpak ecosystem helping users understand and manage application permissions. But there’s still a lot of work to

In theory, yes. But never fully trust your phone to do what you asked it to do.
