It’s still stupid as a goal, like even if they succeed and create AM there’s still a pretty good chance it’ll fucking hate them in particular. Though I doubt we even have the tech to create an AI without wetwork computing and at that point it’s just what already exists but we made the brain in a lab.

Fun fact Japan kept trying to conquer Korea specifically to get their Iron deposits. Japanese Iron is pretty shit comparable to Iron used for nails, which is also why Japanese steel was created it was to compensate for shitty iron. Also as you noted Japanese sword focused martial arts is notably different from everyone else in its focus to avoid certain strikes so as to not destroy or ruin the blade. Meanwhile in Europe, the middle east, and China for example there were multiple forms of sword martial arts focused on specifically cleaving through bone.

I doubt we can remove the neurological component, let alone without it fucking up. Greed is an abstraction of our old survival instincts since as a general rule the tribe, clan, village or whatever would counter the worst effects. The end goal should be to reimplement those social control mechanisms, what that looks like is probably regulation’s and maybe beating some folks over the head with a 2x4.

My summer and winter clothes are exactly the same. Earthen tone pants, t-shirt, boots, and a Czech army field jacket. The field jacket much like my shirts have a video game and vaguely weeb bias. I burn hot in winter and burn under the sun in summer.

Sadly they are getting rarer and rarer, which sucks because KFC by itself can be hit or miss and sometimes you want a side of mashed potatoes and gravy with your chicken quesadilla. Luckily there is still a Kentucky Fried Bell relatively neare over in highland, the Long Johns Chicken that’s actually in my city sucks ass though.

High-rises? No. Multi story buildings some going up to six or seven floors? Yes. Plenty of them survived up until around the high medieval period but we’re starting to come down by the Renaissance, though there are some examples in Revenna Italy. It’s been about 1500 years since the fall of the Western Roman Empire and about 500 years since the Eastern Roman Empire, regardless of how well built that’s a long time for any tall structures, a good example is the Lighthouse of Alexandria which while a bit older was rendered ruined around the same period and subsequently scavenged from to construct something newer, much like it’s Roman counterparts.

Also they kidnapped the new air nomads but I think that was so they could kidnap Korra so… Yeah. Legit I think Korra would’ve joined them had they not started fucking with her, especially since outside of Zuko, Tenzin, and her own father damned near every person in power she encountered was a damned fine example of why they were right. Legend of Korra fucked up by making every one of the bad guys except season 2s somewhat reasonable. Amon was a hypocrite but not necessarily wrong from a historical point of view (Dai lee, fire nation), the Red Lotus were just anarchists who went a bit far, and I got bored with season 4 so I can’t remember anything about Earth Nation female Bismarck.

Sure but even that isn’t all encompassing. I’m from SoCal and my accent/dialect has so many archaicisms that I’m probably one of the only people under 50 with the damned thing. What I get for being around old people I guess. Though I do suppress into something approaching the general accent when talking to others, mostly because for example Mountain Dew gets mangled into münten doo.

Best part is I’m the only living person who witnessed the whole situation. Note the microwave caveman is the son of my great uncle, so cousin once removed if memory serves right don’t really keep track of trite terms like that. But my great grandfather and my uncle (mother’s brother) just were watching the whole repeatedly microwaving thing just kinda waiting to see what would happen, took about 20 minutes but it resulted in the so called microwave incident. This whole thing will be with me for the rest of my life despite happening when I was 4, I am now 26. You may see why I directly associate microwaving water with unga bunga caveman energy. It ain’t just cultural it’s probably part of my personality foundation.

It really was. If he had just microwaved it once or twice I would assumed bad luck, but I’m pretty sure he was on his fifth or sixth time by the point the glass shattered. I even asked him a couple years ago if he remembered that whole thing and according to him he only remembers the fire, though according to his dad he was probably high on edibles.

Probably my older cousins back in the early 2000s when I was like 3. Watch one of them repeatedly microwave a bowl of water till the glass fractured causing the water to all spill into the microwave which long story short resulted in an electrical fire inside a camper trailer. No I don’t remember what the fuck he was trying to do, may have been as mondane as making top ramen.

If memory serves right the grocery store thing isn't even the fault of the grocers. It's regulators due to the fact there was a couple high profile instances of handing bad food to food banks to abuse the tax deductions.
