Honestly, it’s a tough call but more opportunities for convex and converse on the tiny trees compared to the fungi. But the fungi are on balance, cooler. What do others think?

Before lockdown I had thought about running a beginners whittling course. I had been inspired by a guy in work who had a cluster of mushrooms on his desk that he was keen to offload on me. Apparently, he was a compulsive whittled while dog walking. I wondered if making little trees might be a way give an intro to carving that didn’t rely on getting extra kit like a spoon knife. I also kind of like the idea of a tiny national forest, in the same vein as Gormley’s little clay crowd.
