this is one of my favorite episodes for sure, maybe even one of my favorite birthday specials (Jaian's... but also, not my absolute favorite, that one is The Nobita Inside Nobita).
it's not just that I'm a fan of angst and my fav suffering physically and emotionally (although- 😋), but it's also really good to highlight a specific side to Nobita and Jaian's relationship that sometimes is underrated (and I have way more clips to add about this topic) and that I love a lot.
Like yeah ofc a lot of times Jaian is written like just a bully, but SOMETIMES. he also acts like a big brother, protective, and he even looks up to nobita sometimes; and the way he even played ayatori with Nobita so he'd stay awake (and smiled at seeing him safe and happy...) it's really touching, especially when you've watched enough to know how much this game means to nobita and how no one usually cares about it. 🥹
Not to mention, later eps in the 2005 series have Nobita's moe factor absolutely off the charts. like oh my god he's just so cute here it's irresistible. 🥹 his voice is soft...
it's also an ep where he's more on the submissive side so he goes along with Jaian. in some other eps he complains more and is more bratty and less angelic, it just depends (there will be clips! for everything. all my thoughts were born from watching...), but I think this side of him is really good, like he's not just sensitive and nice, but also not very strong-willed 😭 (not all the time tho!!)
and my absolute favorite, aside from the... voice acting and sounds here... (woof 🤤)... is his cute lil oversized angel costume. ok in general I adore when nobita's given any sort of costume/outfit, but THIS ONE ?? just look at it...
it's kinda hard to post about everythinggg I've been keeping inside, there's so much 🤧 it's gonna take me days and weeks of posting to paint even a small picture of everything i see in nobita and why i love him so much and why he's the best. we'll get there though.
