@drewtowler@mas.to A popular request and top of our list. If it was a configurable setting in Mastodon we’d have done it already, but we actually need to change the code (albeit a minor change). This means we’d need to change it every time we update. That said, quite keen to do it soon….

I can confirm that both zh-Hans and zh-Hant are listed as translation languages in both Mastodon and our Libretranslate instance: https://mas.to/api/v1/instance/translation_languages http://65.109.242.156:5000/languages This is really strange. I'll ping a message to the Mastodon developers.

@Lady_Noremon@mas.to Using the web interface (easiest to troubleshoot) and taking one of these accounts as an example, none of the posts are showing the 'Translate' button underneath. If their account is set to a language other than mine, and that language is supported by LibreTranslate (ZH is) then it should show 'Translate'. So not sure what's going on here! Quite often the reason for the missing Translate button is that their account is actually set to EN, even though they post in another language.

@Lady_Noremon@mas.to Will look into it! ZH > EN and EN > ZH are definitely installed. It does of course require the user to have set ZH as their language in Mastodon, so the translation option appears.

@AnonymooseGuy @Brendanjones I liked ko-fi because it leans towards a set, small default donation. I'd rather people feel that only a small donation is being asked, rather than a blank £££ field! There are processing fees for the payment backends (Stripe/PayPal) but they're low. People have suggested Patreon/Opencollective etc but I'm happy with ko-fi for the time being and I feel that having multiple methods could be confusing.
