ich hab ja kein Problem damit wenn Pflanzen (oder sonst wer) in der Öffentlichkeit Sex haben, aber dass deren Sperma dabei einfach ungefragt in meiner Nase landet finde ich nicht mit meinem Konzept von Konsens und Körperautonomie vereinbar … 🤧

So while it might be slightly better for the standard-case of an average white man, it’s worse for everyone else. Also at least your 'remove pause from audio' example sounds way more suited for relatively simple algorithms than statistical models to me. (I do agree though that there are some cases where things that would be called 'AI' nowadays can actually be good)

Also, don’t worry about stepping in in a situation that seems off even when you’re not sure: It’s relatively easy to tell someone on your own side to step back in case it was fine after all and that would be merely a tiny bit awkward, as opposed to the horror of helplessness while everyone around just keeps watching waiting for it to get 'bad enough' (aka too late).

Like, if you’re saying it does, I’m sure that’s true, but I don’t understand what Google is intending to do in that regard. Also obviously still incredibly evil of them regardless. And what Google achieves with that for me (who was about to purchase a new not just Android but Google phone specifically) is making me delay that purchase and more seriously consider some sort of Linux phone instead 🙃
