The California Gubernatorial Debate is amazing. The two right wing weirdos running for the job are clearly living on Earth 2. Bonkers. This is running on Nexstar stations, which should help explain the slant. I really hope that voters are watching this and are alarmed by the cruelty.

@analogfusion @AuthorJMac I think businesses will give their technical writing jobs and my copywriting niche to AI only if they can tolerate bad or hallucinatory writing. Otherwise, we're still going to be needed—at least for a little while longer.

@AuthorJMac I quit I.T. so that I could start a new writing career. I learned this week that a substantial part of my copywriting job will now be programming a computer through a prompt to do the writing that I used to do last week.

Domestic rooftop solar and SUV uptake are answers to the same problem, I think. Crumbling transportation infrastructure got people out of cars and into high clearance vehicles with high-sidewall tires and rugged suspensions. Similarly, a blackout or two, or a $500+ monthly electric bill will force a homeowner to get creative. Zero down? Sure, why not?
