And now it's time for Story Time with Jessica. When I was a kid, my aunt sent me a postcard with a Jackalope on it. I was so fascinated by that picture on the card and for many years, I thought Jackalopes were real. I was so disappointed when I realized they weren't. (They must be real!) The End.

Sometimes I like to make myself fancy coffee. Stovetop espresso, add hot water, and frothed unsweetened vanilla almond milk mixed with zero sugar white chocolate syrup, add some of the syrup to the coffee for good measure and then zero sugar caramel and mocha sauces on top. Really good! And low cal!

@SynAck@corteximplant.com thank you! We have brown which would come next for me. Then it goes to brown with a black stripe, then half brown on top half black on bottom, then I think that gets flipped so the black is on top?? (I'm not 100% sure), but basically you stay on brown for a long time.

I earned my next belt in Goju-Ryu Karate today!! In my dojo after purple belt is the purple belt with a black stripe.

My Mom gave me her piano since she doesn't have room for it and her keyboard along with everything else. I grew up with that piano and I learned how to play on it, so I love having it in my house now. Gizmo does too lol! #Cats #CatsOfMastodon #piano

Dads of students at my dojo get to train for free this month. Both my Dad and my brother will be joining our karate class this evening. (My brother's son also takes karate at the same school). So that should be a lot of fun. :) My sister-in-law joined us for a class last month. I think it's cool when our dojo does things like that.

Persona 5 The Phantom X seems pretty fun so far. Granted, I haven't played far enough to engage with the gacha stuff yet. (which isn't my favorite). Seems to be mostly? nearly all? Persona 5 soundtrack which I love, so that's great. :) #Persona5 #Persona5_the_phantom_x

At the dojo yesterday, I was talking about a tornado warning we had the night before and how scary that was. My Sensei was like, "Yeah, I went over there and said, "No tornado, you can't go over there, my students live there."" lol I guess having 2 black belts gives you magical powers. I aspire to be that awesome someday lol

Had a follow-up appointment for my ADHD and at the end of the appointment my doctor was like, "Can I see your Labubu? I've seen box opening videos and wanted to see one in person." loool I often carry my fake Lafufu, but for a quick & close doctor's visit I was cool with taking my real one XD

@heartofcoyote@mastodon.social Agreed! I do think they should just eat whatever everyone else is eating for dinner, but they're like super dramatic, will immediately throw up, and/or not eat.

However, their parents do not have any issue with people offering them something they will eat even if it isn't "interesting." It's their mom's mother who is enabling & obnoxious to an extreme degree and she's definitely making things worse for them by acting that way. Giving in/enabling bad behavior does them no favors.

So something that's been grinding my gears lately. We take turns hosting family dinner. My husband always makes a really good meal and I often make something for dessert. Well my brother's kids are about the pickiest kids on earth so we usually just make them a sandwich and give them some pretzels or whatever. Occasionally we have other fun things planned for them, but not all the time. Their parents have never had a single problem with it. Well, my sister-in-law's mother saw that we were 1/
