@anze3db@fosstodon.org have you looked at Zuban? It's written by the original author of the Jedi language server, but Zuban is written in Rust and has some specific support for Django - e.g. it understands Django models better than others. https://zubanls.com/

@arnaudlimbourg@hachyderm.io for about 90% of the time, performance is no problem. Creating/updating the lock file can take some time, but I don't do that frequently. It's nowhere near as fast as uv.

@kevinrenskers at least Google doesn't pretend to care about you! lol I don't rely on any Google services though. I don't use Gmail, or any of the other Google apps. I use Firefox on Android and desktop, Fastmail for mail/calendars/etc. WhatsApp for messaging. It's pretty difficult to avoid all shitty companies, so I try not to rely on any one of them for too much.

Meanwhile, the most recent post on Daring Fireball is boasting about Apple's profits - doesn't that mean the CEO is doing well?
