High schools in Texas added him to the curriculum of civil rights leaders next to MLK. College Republican meetings still begin with a moment of silence in his memory. And my God, the right wing fundraising in his name is relentless. Hell, MAGA is getting into slap fights about whether he would have supported the invasion of Iran - and isn’t the strength of a dead man’s legacy shown by how many people twist his words to claim that legacy for their own? If you think the right buried Kirk’s death, you haven’t been paying attention.
