@anderseknert@swecyb.com somehow https://www.openpolicyagent.org/docs#1-download-opa linux amd64 binary is Version: 0.53.1 and if I check latest release it's a bit different: https://github.com/open-policy-agent/opa/releases/tag/v1.18.2 Likely something is broken or so?!

@thking@mastodon.social hmm sounds like cloud providers or people without understanding the impacts influence the idea It's very expensive and complicated to do multi region and multi cloud is even worse. I am pretty sure that you will fail more often if you do this than you would expect better availability. Of course being prepared to move to another region if there is a serious disaster is not a bad idea.

@hweissi@infosec.exchange good that I didn't buy one. One, two years ago I searched a device for reading papers and web pages, but I didn't buy one. Someone suggested that remarkable was a good device for this. I wonder if there's something open source / open hardware that fit this kind of idea. It seems an obvious thing that many people would like to have.

@tagesschau@ard.social ard.de is down wegen DNS. Viele ande "de" Seiten sind auch down, daher wahrscheinlich ein "de" Zonen Problem. Jemand meinte was von DNSSEC, also vielleicht mal euren admins weitergeben, falls das noch nicht bekannt ist. #hugops auf alle Fälle schon mal an die Kolleg:innen.

@liw@toot.liw.fi I start at looking into the program start and scroll the main flow. After that I start to see directory structure and read interesting packages. In general I see the problem of no architecture docs and no operations docs. I try to make it better in my main project, but for example in cncf projects the normal is "helm install -f https://...." and good luck figuring out how it works and what it installs. Not even to have one picture that explains all the components working together is just bad docs.

@linux_mclinuxface a friend of mine tried to make the architecture during his thesis. The response was we are good to call any function from anywhere. I would never have a wordpress anywhere close to anything that I care about.

@vieuxrenard@chaos.social man lernt smtp kauft sich für 5€/Monat einen Server bei hetzner und nutzt Linux und einen smtp Server (zb postfix) zum senden/empfangen und einen imap Server (zb dovecot) um Mail Clients (thunderbird) anzubinden (Emails lesen, smtp ist für senden). Dann muss man sich etwas Zeit nehmen um zu verstehen wie man das sichert mit spf, dkim, dmarc (eigentlich echt simpel mit DNS TXT records) und dann ist man unabhängig von Providern. Man sollte auf alle Fälle testen ob man open relay ist (dann ist man offen für Spammer die über euch senden können), weil man dann relativ schnell auf sperrlisten landet. Dann ist man Provider unabhängig. Kostet wenig Geld aber kostet etwas nerven bis man alles verstanden und aufgebaut hat.
