I finally finished Hyperion. Sci-fi book by Dan Simmons.

Except I didn't really, because it's the first book in a series, and the first one didn't conclude anything at all.

Didn't end up watching The Mist with nephew after all.

Instead, we watched Silence of the Lambs. I've been trying get him to watch it. I knew he would like it, he didn't believe me

We have this trans person that comes into my work sometimes (MtF, top surgery or more).

I guess he used to work at my store, because all of the workers know him. They all act like they are so happy to see him every time he comes in. I have to wonder just how much is an act.

Not an act for him, per se. Just an act of virtue signalling, to show they aren't a bigot or whatever. It's honestly so disappointing.

Even the Christians I work with greet him like he's the most special person ever. It's just disgusting.

As for me, he actually does disgust me. Being a libertarian, I believe in live and let live. I treat him cordially and professionally, though I keep our interactions to a minimum. But I honestly feel like gender surgery is real life body horror. It's just gross and horrific

I don't hate Minds. I love it here. I don't blame the management for diminishment in traffic, that's beyond their control.

I completely understand if there's not enough business to maintain the site. Remove features, make it bare bones if you have to. The tokens economy is broken now with the collapse of crypto.

But don't just let it fall apart and break. Makes this place feel shoddy

I received a promotion from the Minimal Company. It said, Answer some review questions, get a free phone case. Mmm, sounded reasonable. My phone case is already coming apart, so I took the bait.

I went to the page and answered the questions. I wasn't spiteful, I gave my honest critiques in the hopes of improving their product.

I got the promo code, went to their website, and ordered the phone case. Promo code worked, free phone case. Except: had to pay $5 for shipping. Well, I suppose that's not bad for a phone case. Concluded my order and had it shipped.

Well, the PRODUCT just arrived in the mail today. And guess what: it's NOT a phone case. It's a COVER for the phone case. It's a STICKER! I spent $5 for a sticker! They originally wanted like $15 bucks for it!

This company is clowning me, I swear to Arceus
