Yeah one party or the other. The American people lose with either and the rich win with both.

OK but who cares if he's a lolicon? I'm not a big fan of the guy but I don't think this means anything. CC: @fiore@brain.worm.pink

Deleted microslop github and now using codeberg. Definitely the better choice now.

I would actually pay for movies and anime and tv series if you just got the mp4 or mkv to download after you bought it. I don't pirate because I want something for free, I do it because I don't get any of that DRM content. Why can't I just pay to get the files?

When I check CVEs most of the time it's memory safety related problems use after free and bounds checking. And this happens way too often especially in big projects like firefox or firefox based browsers. So many of those vulnerabilities could be fixed simply by using Rust. I think it makes sense to rewrite some things in Rust. While not perfect it could help avoid so many of those which happen way too often. Though sometimes it goes too far like we get a rust rewrite for a tiny program that didn't even need one, but I would say for big projects, using Rust makes a lot of sense.

If you want an answer to your question online, don't ask the question. Give the wrong answer and you're more likely to get a response because people are more interested in correcting you than giving you an answer. Works every time.

I don't think age verification will make the internet any safer for minors. I think the real problem is how most of the big social media platforms, especially Facebook don't care about privacy or anonymity even. If children were taught not to share personal information online then they would be safer online. The problem is all those big social media platforms ask for your personal information. So it kinda normalize having no privacy and age verification is yet another way to de-anonymize people and know who they are. Back then there were way less problems like that because anonymity was considered the standard online.

The Iran war is one of the most pointless war ever started everything about it just left everyone worse off than before the war. They killed their supreme leader so he could be replaced with an even worse one. You can also see that the US isn't as invincible as they pretend to be with that war because they lost a lot of money in it and didn't benefit from it in any way. And now even if they stop they can never go back to how things were before unless they remove all sanctions on Iran and everyone is paying for it. What a bunch of idiots the people in charge are in the US.

Some people use GNU/Linux because of how good the user experience is. Windows annoys you with ads, macOS have you go through extra steps to run programs that are not apple verified and GNU/Linux just works. And while it is true that GNU/Linux has the best user experience I think people should remember that it's free (as in freedom) software that got us to that point.

Lunduke is back at it again with his anti lolicon takes accusing Brodie Robertson and Drew Devault of being pedophiles. He really can't get over the fact that those are just drawing, it's just some artwork and there is no actual kids involved, yet he's talking as if there are trying to blur the line between fiction and reality. Nothing new coming from him anyway, he's always trying to cause drama and division, he's an expert at it which is why he's banned pretty much everywhere. Funny thing is he then go and play the victim and be like "Why does everyone hate me? I didn't do anything!".

Just look at the CVEs for Firefox most of them are memory bugs. And yeah Firefox does have some rust code but its only like 10% and the rest is C, C++ and JavaScript

I feel like a lot of those rust rewrites are pointless and have no reason behind them other than rust fans wanting to rewrite it in rust because it's rust.
