@ve4grm@dice.camp Peggy's Cove is the Nova Scotia classic lighthouse on the rocks. Wolfville is a cute little town in the Annapolis Valley, it has a nice farmers market on Saturday mornings. NS has lots of little sights that don't take too long to individually with a bunch of driving in between

@stavvers A few years ago there was a big push to locate the Franklin expedition that was lost while trying to find the northwest passage around Canada. Someone finally just got around to asking the indigenous people and they were like "oh, yeah there's a sunken ship just over there, you can see the mast sticking out of the water every year when the water's low"

@mogwai_poet@mastodon.social Reminds me of a popular overnight hiking spot in BC where apparently the porcupines have grown a taste for car tires so people were coming back after a hike and having flat tires. Now it's recommended to surround your car with chicken wire before leaving for your hike.
