I often run into the narrative that the KKK was all but completely dead and then The Birth of a Nation released and it came back
I agree that the film is absurdly racist, but if a single movie was all it took to make the violent racist organizers come back, it sounds like it wasn’t dying to me

@trashgaylie@aethy.com I have people yell at me sometimes for interacting with people into drawing a thing or promoting art projects for people into a thing or sharing artwork featuring a thing, this must mean I too am personally into it
it’s silly, but I feel like I need to say that just because I am okay with people liking e.g. scat or TF doesn’t mean I am personally into it and encourage more people to promote stuff they aren’t into so that it stops being so aggressively relegated to societal margins
fun fact: you do not have to cum to art to celebrate and share it
even if it is sexually charged or erotic in nature
you don’t even have to be personally aroused by its subject matter, even if it is clear it was created with the intention of arousing those who are
you can just want art to exist
