@hananc@tooot.im I have always felt that there was something magical, deeply appealing in the first program most of us kids wrote: 10 PRINT "(your name)" 20 GOTO 10 In all the better languages, you'd need to start with the looping (and the common first program doesn't loop at all). And psychologically, having to consider the repetition before the thing that is repeated, feels much more complex. There is something very playful in "Do it, now do it again", and better languages are too serious for this.

שלחו לי מייל פישינג אפקטיבי במיוחד, על חידוש דומיין. זה מייל שמגיע רק פעם בשנתיים-שלוש, אז נורא קל ליפול בו, ואם לא היו (במקרה) כל מיני גורמים שהכניסו „חיכוך” לתהליך, יש מצב שהייתי נופל בזה.

אביב גפן של עכשיו, מתברר, הוא ממש זמר גרוע. אני לא מדבר על הקול הצפרדעי -- זה תמיד היה; אבל האיש פשוט מזייף. בתווים, אני מתכוון. ב„אותנטיות” -- הרגשה שהוא באמת מתכוון למשהו רגשי בשירים -- הוא לא מזייף, הוא פשוט לא שם בכלל.

יש לו שיר אחד נהדר („אל תדאג, אני חושבת עליך”), אחד טוב („שיר הסמרטוטים”), ותקליט שלם סביר („אור הירח”), שממנו הוא ניגן הערב שיר אחד (טוב, בכ״ז חלטורה של יום העצמאות).

Israel is celebrating its independence today. Traditionally, the ceremony was a uniting piece, avoiding party politics, with a main speech by the chairperson of parliament. #Netanyahu changed that, he couldn't miss such an opportunity to speak to the public.

Today, as he walked with other dignitaries to his seat, he was met with "Bibi, Bibi" calls.

The once-civil ceremony has been taken over by fascists.

I believe Israel will wake up from this and rise. But it won't be easy.

@jake Thanks for this. I have a couple of articles living rent-free in my head for a few months now, and because of this toot, this evening I finally sat down and started to write (in Hebrew, and Politics, not Tech, but still).
