It's kind of a scam that they call it a "field-programmable gate array" but then the only field you can program it with is GF(2).

@pervognsen I'm reminded of the Mill CPU instruction encoding that had two instruction streams, one forward and one backward, so you can jump into a basic block with a single instruction pointer. But they just had variable-size instructions on both streams.

@pervognsen I wonder whether it would make sense to define a variable-length instruction encoding this way.
