RE: https://infosec.exchange/@seecurity/116603246333682094 We are heading towards Matrix (with Synapse) and Element. One critical thing is Latex-math-mode for the math courses and it turns out Element struggles to support this. All users need to explictly enable this mode in Element "Labs" (https://element.uni-wuppertal.de/docs/messaging/index.html) but my Mac OS desktop Element version does not even show this config entry. You'd need to manually edit a config file to enable it AFAICT. Does anyone have a solution for this? This is a showstopper for our math profs and a reason for them to move to Teams.

@hanno it reminds me of the times when people were laughing at fuzzing. "What a waste of time and energy to throw random data at an app and expect it to find something useful!" Then AFL came with a new insight: it could automatically measure progress and correlate that progress with a previous input. This seems to a major ingredient for success, not only for vuln research: instrument an LLM to automatically determine progress and throw computing power at it. Cans of worms everywhere, waiting to be opened by people taking shortcuts with LLMs.

@hanno Also Vim-User können ja einfach zu Emacs rüberwechseln, da erwarte ich kein Problem. Und da der LInux-Kernel auch LLM-Code hat, sollte Gentoo endlich auf GNU Hurd wechseln. Man kann ja von Stallman halten, was man will. Aber LLMs hat er wenigstens noch nicht verwendet. /s
