Gnome kind of makes sense for touch.
I just threw Cachy onto an old Inspiron for a computer to have near me while recording instruments, but a Surface Pro would actually be much better.
How's battery and did MS fix those shit house chargersthey had back when I had a Surface Pro 2?

When I was younger, I had my Boomer in-laws decide that I would drive because I had drunk the least—I had drunk plenty. And this just seemed like something normal and I'd just nonchalantly say, "Oh, that makes sense. That's smart."
They were upset that I wouldn't, insisted they would, and got more upset that I ordered a cab.
Fortunately, after they realised they'd lost, they sided with the idea being really stupid and irresponsible, but I think that's just because they got morally caught out by a 22-year old.

So long as the result is a bazillion comments with as many upvotes as downvotes on each, it’s a good shitpost. Bonus points if it captures those two cliche users that end up frustrating the hell out of each other as they strive to be first in a 20 comment head-to-head marathon that goes absolutely no where. All because some people take it seriously while others take it as a joke; minimal effort by OP.
This community seems to lean quite a bit toward people taking things seriously, or they simply don’t notice where they are before they unsheath their keyboards.

Suddenly feel empathy for that guy. I hope it works out for them in the end, but red flags.

Ugh. Disgusting.
Give me a single structure on a plot of land, 10ft from my neighbours walls, and a lawn to maintain, any day I live for the additional costs on the place I never spend the best hours of my day in. Worth every gallon of commute fuel. My brain is so aerodynamic.

I frequently check Wikipedia citations, just to be disappointed. Wiki sources can be a great shortcut to good citations, but often I realise much of an article’s content is built out of the soggiest cardboard.

There’s just a lot of thought put in for the user. Excellent UI and productivity features, so much customisability. It’s super fast and light. Then there’s built in blockers, VPN, all the usual. To top it all off, it’s made by a small group of Norwegians that hate corporate control and love an open and free internet. They even have their own feduverse instances.
After I had spent an hour going down the rabbit hole of tweaking every UI element so the browser was now my browser, I was hooked. I still have to use Firefox at work, but I now find it intrusive, sluggish, and crude. I also hate having to restart it for updates lol.

Yeah but they don’t have the money to introduce quality governance into this. So the brain trust of Reddit it is. Which explains why LLMs have gotten all weirdly socially combative too; like two neckbeards having at it with Google skill vs Google skill is a rich source of A+++ knowledge and social behaviour.

I’m a follower and just go with Corsair Vengeance. Hasn’t ever let me down.
I think all my SSDs are Samsung. Nvme are Kingston and so I like to think they have thick Jamaican accents, mon. No issues with any of it and some of that storage is getting real old.
