The power of modern LLMs is fed by the rich content that has been available online. Blogs, essays, forums etc. are the sources of primary content, but as everyone moves to using only LLM searches, there will be diminishing incentive for people to produce such primary content. Now, some web content is actually being generated by LLMs - and that trend seems set to continue.
