Had a thought percolating at the back of my head for a while, and now my brain doesn't feel like a desiccated sponge I figured I'd start on building it.

Lorenz attractor and windowed comparators so generate cyclical but chaotic patterns. Needs plenty of finessing because its pretty meh now, but a turd has to exist before you can polish it.

Currently my brain is a dried out sponge, and I have no idea how to make this not the case

@this.xor.that I'm pretty sure it was you who showed me some software/service at error camp that was like pintrest but didn't suck? If it was you, what was it?

@aparrish@friend.camp dad a comment earlier where somebody said "converting something C++ into an archaic, low-level language feels like The Kind Of Shit that LLMs *should* be used for" and I'm just a bit gobsmacked. That's a compiler! You want a compiler

The other month I left my full time job, partly due to feeling bored and burnt out, partly due to a bunch of AI nonsense, and partly because I wanted to work on building electronics and selling synthesizers. Well this is one of the synthesizers. Called Ouroboros, because it's primarily a feedback instrument (how original), and this is still in the prototyping stage where the circuit design is pretty much all done but I need to figure out a better enclosure, how to make it robust, and how to make it feasible to build so I can sell them. I'll probably be shouting about this a bit more over time.

Yesterday there was an all hands meeting at my company to say that we're going "AI first".
The aim is to get everybody really leaning in on LLM tools, and a working group set up to start researching new workflows and sharing them for everybody to use....

So the end of April will be my last day.

I'm planning to start actually selling some of the hardware synthesisers I've designed, as well as picking up bits and pieces of freelance work.
