Dear journal editorial offices: stop fucking asking for proofs back in 24 hours. It took forever to get through all the other parts of this, 24 hours is generally unreasonable to get proofs back, especially for all the authors to have a chance to look it over and correct the inevitable mistakes your staff introduced. Thanks so much, the people who did all the fucking work. #Academia #PublishOrPerish

I would have thought a perfect use case for #QuartoPub "includes" would be something like:

if ( condition1) {
  {{< include _condition1.qmd >}}
} else {
  {{< include _condition2.qmd >}}
}

But {quarto} complains about incomplete input if I actually do that. But both docs look fine.

Guess it's figuring out the whole document pieces to include outside first, cat together, and then render.

@vlrny@disabled.social my boss has severe pollen allergies, and their spouse really likes fresh air. This was their solution, buy Merv 13 furnace filters that roughly match the window sizes, and put the filter in when they want the windows open.

@mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io @benroyce@mastodon.social yep. I joined Twitter in 2011 or 2012, and got exposure from Black people posting about their everyday experiences. That really opened my eyes to the systemic racism all around (especially in US and Canada) and helped me to deal with my own prejudices (which I'm still working on). Similarly for hearing from women about their life experiences. I was not someone who women confided in growing up. My eyes have been opened to a lot due to social media.

@eliocamp Wow. You have to "show all time zones", or know of a city that is in GMT - 0. That feels spectacularly bad. If something shows up in when seeing "all possibilities", you should be able to search for it directly. I tried searching for GMT, GMT - 0, greenwich mean time, etc, but nothing comes up. Weird.
