I looked but don’t see a thread about Iranian music. It bums me out that we’re bombing yet another country that we know nothing about. I like to think we Internet people are all friends regardless of our governments. I’m literally having panic attacks that I can’t stop my electeds from being assholes, I wish I could commiserate and make friends with everyone else

As the flotilla is going, I was reflecting how I used to listen to this hip hop album like 10 years ago A lo Cubano from Orishas that was a banger and lots of 'I love Cuba" kinda lyrics — but my spanish is terrible to non-existent, and i don’t know what the state of music is like in 2026. Who is making great free Cuba music these days? What can we be listening to?

Considering the amount of tech and self hosting types that live in cities, it seems like it would be popular to have little mesh intranets all over the place, but I’m not aware of any. I read about NYC Mesh a while back, and I wonder if there are other similar things already in widespread use that I just haven’t heard about.
