LLMs only ever perform usable in fields you're not an expert in. (That's why your average top brass thinks it's useful)

Ja, aber dazu müsste es im Journalismus um Nachrichten gehen. Und die Beschreibung des Geschehens. Vielleicht die Einordnung.
Aber seit ich lebe, war es das (fast) nie.
Journalismus war, wo ich herkam (meist) Propaganda.
Die Nachricht ist nur Vehikel, damit Geld fließen kann. Die Ware. Qualität bemisst sich am Umsatz.
Und von Polizeigewalt will niemand etwas wissen. Das verkauft sich nicht. Das reduziert das Sicherheitsempfinden. Das erzeugt kognitive Dissonanz.
Mit dem Spin: 12-jährige greift Cops mit 2! Messern an verdient man einfach mehr. Wohliger Grusel: "So schlimm ist das heute! Das gab's früher nich".
Fakten sind halt schlecht fürs Geschäft.
(Ihr seid bisweilen die angenehme Ausnahme. Aber halt nicht reich)
