@catvalente I honestly didn't read the essay as a tough-to-swallow. It's fair and maybe it's age, but I don't have my ego wrapped up in being right about people. As with many things, sunlight is really anathema to these people. The more the antics draw attention, the more it's really obvious they are not who they perhaps appeared to be before. If Musk had stayed with fucking up his car company with throwing rocks at windows, he probably could have continued to lead his quirky bigoted life, naming his children after every punctuation mark that strikes his fancy and no one would have thought anything more than "well that's weird" and carried on. Actively maliciously destroying things does tend to bring the spotlight down on yourself though.
