The first of my video reviews of public domain films has gone live just now. I had a lot of fun making this, definitely looking forward to making more!
This first review is about 1928's The Man Who Laughs, which features possibly the single most influential screen makeup job in the history of the artform.

@ajroach42 @ifixcoinops 25 US MPG is ~30 MPG here, which isn't actually terribly uncommon. It's about what my Volvo does with it's big (by UK standards) 2.5l petrol engine
My little Peugeot will happily do 60 (uk) mpg, which as I understand it is high enough that you could drive coast to coast in the US for the cost of a big mac

@ifixcoinops It is weird that fedi is like this, because it means I feel Unworthy of claiming I can code. I am fairly skilled at gluing libraries together, but compared to a significant portion of fedi that's Nothing.
Meanwhile when I explain how my Discord bot that prints messages on a thermal printer to Relatively Normal People there's a big aspect of "i like your funny words computer man"
