"I originally wanted to release this track in 2025, but it didn't work out. All the more reason for me to have kept working on it; The point of the song is that feeling where you know you have something to share, but something always gets in the way.

I struggle with depression and a lack of motivation. It's hard to accomplish just about anything with such a heavy weight pulling me into bed where I can rot, but this is what I want: to make music for myself, to express all my feelings, and share it with others who could relate to the struggle of living in times like this.

I'm happy with the way this track has come to be, though I can't say it was an easy process. At one point I considered dropping it, and coming back once I had more experience. The fence between me and my first track looked too high. However, despite my inexperience, the person who pushed me to break past it was my boyfriend. He told me that all the experience in the world is moot if I never learn how to finish a project. How could I ever get started if I... well... don't get started? He was right, and I accepted it despite how hard it was. Now I'm sitting on the other side of that fence looking at what I've made and it makes me happy. It's not perfect for sure, but that shouldn't be the goal. I can say I accomplished the first step. And that I really like the track too... 😅"
