Converting every page I touch from ISO-8859 to UTF-8 and every page I want to modify more deeply from FrontPage HTML to manually written HTML…
(I only stopped because my parents stopped being active in the Verein)
You can still do it that way. Frames never stopped working.

@roadblock161_ I recently switched to Ecosia because they are less US-American than Duck Duck Go. Then they did a survey about what services one would be willing to pay in a Ecosia Premium Product and half of their ideas where AI.
Now I'm back to Duck Duck Go. At least on there I can turn off the AI. (On Ecosia even on the no-AI-Setting I needed to use my Ad-Blocker to get rid of the last AI-Button)

Aber hey, wenn man eine Nadel quer durch den voll geladenen 18650-Akku schieben kann und den dann 5 Minuten drin lassen kann ohne das es brennt… dann ist LiFePO wirklich eindrucksvoll sicher (im Vergleich zu klassischen LiPo)

@psy@social.troll.academy Fun fact: Als Congstar den Scheiß auf App-Only umgestellt hat konnte der Support einen doch einfach so auf Rechnung per E-Mail umstellen. Jetzt kriege ich jeden Monat (in dem ich telefoniert habe) eine E-Mail mit PDF-Anhang.

@Slater450413@infosec.exchange I just tested it on the Lenovo T15 Gen 2. On this laptop the privacy-shutter blocks the IR-cam, too. And the IR-cam enables the little cam-is-on-LED, too.

@dragon I now realise that my latest CD-burning was about 5 years ago… how time flies.
@steeph@queerchen.de When burning the digital copy of my bachelor thesis I had the funny problem that my laptop was able to burn CDs… But it was not able to read burned CDs. I only noticed after about 3 disks which I thought all failed but all where readable in a different drive.

@steeph@queerchen.de I remember when someone gave me a 4K HDR10 file back in… 2019 and I could not play it… I even failed transcoding it to 1080p, probably because of the HDR.
@steeph@queerchen.de I have intel integrated graphics and it needs compositing otherwise it tears like hell. That's why I'm running compton most of the time (and curse having to restart it every time I add or remove a monitor).
I don't care about 10 bit or 444 but I despise seeing block-artifacts in my video.
On public trackers 10 bit encodes tended to be of better quality and because of that I preferred 10 bit encodes in the past. They somehow just pack more quality into the same filesize. (Now that I double-checked… 10 bit encodes where better because they use H265 instead of H264)
Nowadays 1080p WEB-DL H264 is fine. Its bigger than I'd like but it looks good. I'd like to see more modern codecs but I am to lazy to re-encode. (And I'd have to replace my Pi because it does H264 fine, H265 poorly and everything newer not at all)
