With Quintessence today's update you will have the ability to change its behaviour to better fit your needs!
The cog icon will reveal various settings that will let you tweak the amount of hours of your timeline to analise, the amount of Top Toots/Links to show, and also to influence the algorithm that ranks the Top Toots.

It seems that some users on mastodon.social have issues authenticating on Quintessence. Since they that instance is not accepting new users I cannot create an account to debug the issue. So, if you are a mastodon.social account holder, have experienced problems using Quintessence and are willing to help me fixing this please pm this account. Thanks!

The main point of Quintessence today's small update is to make data retrieval noticeably faster.

A new Quintessence version just dropped.
Other than the usual bug fixes, you will notice you have 2 tabs now: Top Links (the usual list of the most shared links) and a new tab: Top Toots.
The idea for the second one is to give a list of the most notable _posts_ from your home timeline that you might have missed in the last 24 hours.
The current scoring is a very rough first attempt to test the general concept, so please do not take it too seriously 🙂.
