@mathias I totally agree with this. Europe has spent vast amounts of money on US tech, and that has harmed European tech companies. Time to redress that harm.

What's changed is that the right are now voting for Farage (and for him specifically, not the party, just as they voted for Boris Johnson in 2019). The centre and centre-left has been split for decades. It's preferable that the fantasists are now splitting the right-wing vote by voting for their own party, I think. I don't think it represents a shift in people's political beliefs.

@mykhaylo@fosstodon.org It's just part of the war of words. Russia's friends in Asia will think it's a fair deal, but they don't matter. Europe now knows Russia is a threat to Western peace and democracy. Even if the US vote in their own Putain in November, Europe will step up, because we have no choice.
