These seven McCall’s magazines (five from 1939, one each from 1940 and 1945) were my biggest get from yesterday’s North Star Auction. McCall’s was one of the Seven Sisters in the magazine world, the others being Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, Good Housekeeping, Ladies’ Home Journal, Redbook, and Woman’s Day.
